Steve joined Alexander Financial Management after retiring from the law enforcement field with over 21 years of service. Steve served with the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office and the Farmers Branch Police Department. During his tenure in law enforcement, Steve received numerous awards including the Star of Texas award for having been seriously injured in the line of duty, Life Saving award, Civic Achievement award, and multiple Police Chief’s awards. Additionally, Steve was awarded the Community Member of the Year award in 2022 by the Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce. Steve co-founded the Texas Peace Officers Memorial Ride that honors Fallen Texas Peace Officers and raises funds for the Texas Chapters of the Concerns of Police Survivors Organization. Steve’s wife Karen is the Surviving Spouse of Fort Worth Police Department Officer Dwayne Freeto who lost his life in the line of duty December 17, 2006.
